What a magnificent Baccalaureate Mass and Commencement for the 2017 class in St. Landry Catholic Church! No other setting could be more appropriate for such an important occasion! The graduates met in Valentin Hall for final instructions and then lined up and processed down the church aisle after the OC faculty and administrators. They were followed by Reverend Monsignor Keith DeRouen, OC Chancellor; several local pastors along with Most Reverend Michael Jarrell, Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Lafayette. In the OCS Commencement for 2017, the 69 graduates were presented with their diplomas, Sarah Joubert gave her valedictory address, the transfer of school colors took place, and the class led in singing the OC alma mater. In the final remarks by Msgr. DeRouen, he commended Interim Principal Cindy Gates for her years of work in Catholic education and presented her with the Bishop's Medal of Honor.
