Tyler Bergeron graduated from Opelousas Catholic in 2011. He is a graduating senior in Mechanical Engineering at University of Louisiana at Lafayette and worked on PEM Fuel Cell Research and Metal Forming. Tyler was a member of the ULL Powerlifting Team for 4 years and served as sergeant-at-arms in 2016. In April 2016 he competed at the USAPL Collegiate National Championship in Providence, Rhode Island. Tyler competed in three lifts; in squat, bench press, and deadlift. His best squat was 633.8 pounds, best bench press was 451.9 pounds, and best deadlift was 551.2 pounds; lifting a total of 1,636.9 pounds. With this total Tyler achieved  All-American Status and took third place.
