Opelousas Catholic junior high and high school students participated in a fundraiser for the newly opened Opelousas Pregnancy Center. Mrs. Cindy Lafleur, OC teacher and school counselor who oversaw the fundraiser, said that different schools can volunteer to sign up for one month to raise funds through baby bottles that are sent home to be filled with money.
OCS took the month of February, and keeping with a Valentine's Day theme, it was called OCS's "Labor of Love" campaign. Our students generously raised $2,680.12 for the Opelousas Pregnancy Center. Pictured on the left is Mrs. Micah Hernandez of the Pregnancy Center visiting OC to accept the funds. What a great demonstration of our students' commitment to living out our pro-life beliefs!
