It was so special to honor two outstanding teachers at our Catholic Schools Week mass! The 2019-2020 Teachers of the Year for Opelousas Catholic include Mrs. Marilyn Lavezzorio as High School Teacher of the Year and Mrs. Jessica Fontenot as Elementary Teacher of the Year.

Mrs. Lavezzorio is the head of our Math Department and has been teaching high school mathematics at OC for 13 years after teaching in the public school system. She has also been the sponsor of the Senate for many years.

After 11 years teaching at other schools, Mrs. Fontenot joined the OC staff two years ago. She currently teaches language arts, reading and math to our second graders.She has shown great leadership in the department's activities and has volunteered to help in chairing the upcoming AdvancED review.

We are blessed with these two dedicated teachers!
