Waco, TX – Generals center fielder Logan Constantine's big week at the plate brought him his first RRAC Player of the Week honor for the 2016 season, it was announced by the conference office on Monday.
Constantine, a freshman from Opelousas, Louisiana, went .650 in six games during the week in which the Generals went 4-2, including a series sweep of Texas College. He really got his week going in the second game of the mid-week doubleheader against Texas Weselyan, where he went 4 for 4, including a double, RBI and scored twice against the Rams.
His hot streak continued into the series against the Steers, where he went 2 for 3 with two runs in game one versus Texas College. In game three, he was 3 for 3, coming up just a home run short of the cycle with a RBI and three runs scored in the 19-4 win that clinched the series for LSUA.
He finished it off with a 2 for 3 performance with another double and a home run, two more RBIs and two more runs scored as the Generals finished off the sweep, 12-5.
