January 29, 2021Some of our Opelousas Catholic D.A.R.E. graduates from last year received a special surprise! Since they were not able to have a graduation event due to COVID, those who won the Essay Contest were given their awards and prizes to their delight!
Extra special was the huge trophy presented to ZANE FONTENOT for being the OVERALL winner at OC as well as the OVERALL winner in the city of Opelousas! Way to go, Zane!
Pictured are the winners in the two fifth grade classes at OC. In one of the classes, it was John Parker Fontenot, 1st place; Alice Meche, 2nd place; and Jalynne Hillard, 3rd place. In the other class, it was Zane Fontenot, 1st place; Cohen Castania, 2nd place; and Ben Minyard, 3rd place.
So proud of our D.A.R.E. students who are now 6th graders!
